After initially defying court orders to bring back 700 of its staff members that were sacked some time ago, La Casera Company has finally complied and reinstated them.
The development was confirmed by the National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees, NUFBTE, on Friday.
It will be recalled that La Casera sacked 700 of its workers in September over the alleged invasion of the premises by hoodlums.
The head of Education Department of NUFBTE, Mike Olarenwaju, who confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, said the management of the company met with union members to resolve the dispute and that the workers had been asked to resume work.
He said officials of the union would meet with the workers next week to finalise issues with the in-house union.
